Soulmates Eric (Skarsgård) and Shelly (FKA Twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.

Lionsgate distributes in the US. One of the film’s producers was quoted saying: “The original film left an indelible mark on our culture that lives on. We are thrilled to bring a new adaptation for today’s audiences that respects this legacy. It looks like this project is officially back in development and moving fast. It’s budgeted at an estimated $50-million with filming aimed to take place this June in Prague and Munich. (4/1/22)
British singer FKA Twigs is playing Eric Draven’s girlfriend/fiancée in this film, which is said to be a much bigger role than in the past films. (4/4/22)

Not much of an update other than producer Ed Pressman still not giving up hope on making the movie. He had a recent interview where he revealed that “he and his partners are expected to announce a new director and cast in the near future.” (3/3/22)
Announced in 2008, the project has gone through the hands of several writers and potential directors.
The Crow began as a comic book series by James O’Barr, which was published in 1989. A film was later made in 1994, which was followed by three sequels and a television series in 1998.
A “reboot” of the 1994 film that starred Brandon Lee that’s said to be more faithful to the source material.
Entertainment Film Distributors released The Crow in UK and Irish Cinemas on August 23, 2024.
Lionsgate released The Crow in Theaters on August 23, 2024.
