This marks the feature film directorial debut of Max and Sam Eggers, who are brothers of The Witch director Robert Eggers. Until now Max Eggers co-wrote The Lighthouse, which starred Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson and Sam Eggers wrote and edited the 2018 documentary “Olympia,” about the career of Academy Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis, and he was a production assistant on his older brother’s film The Witch.
Said to be a “psychological horror film” that’s based on the Susan Hill short story of the same name.
A24 released The Front Room in Theaters on September 6, 2024.
