Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

The days of adventures and merriment have come to an end, as Christopher Robin, now a young man, has left Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet to fend for themselves. As time passes, feeling angry and abandoned, the two become feral. After getting a taste for blood, Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet set off to find a new source of food. It’s not long before their bloody rampage begins.

The film was originally going to be in theaters for one night only, but that has been expanded to nine days, starting on February 15th to February 23rd 2023. (1/12/23)

Also known as Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey

ITN Studios distributes in the US.

Writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield is said to be already planning a sequel.

The film was shot “in 10 days in England, not far from Ashdown Forest, the inspiration for Milne’s imaginary Hundred Acre Wood in the “Winnie-the-Pooh” stories.”

Director detailed more of the story in a recent interview, saying: “Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult. Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.”

The original Winnie-the-Pooh stories recently became public domain, which is how the filmmakers are able to make this movie without being sued by Disney. However, Disney still owns the rights to the friends featured in the stories, such as Tigger, so they will not be in the movie.

This is a UK slasher movie featuring Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet as “villains going on a rampage.”
