The stranger-than-fiction story of an aspiring actor in 1970s Los Angeles and a serial killer in the midst of a years-long murder spree, whose lives intersect when they’re cast on an episode of The Dating Game.
Netflix will debut the movie via their streaming service in the US.
Filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This marks actress Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut.
This movie is based on real life serial killer Rodney Alcala, who in 1978 appeared on the television show The Dating Game in the midst of his murder spree. Due to his appearance he would ultimately be more widely known as “The Dating Game Killer.” Read more here.
